Visit Mekong Delta to enjoy the beauty of green rice fields stretching to the horizon. Coming to Mekong Delta, you have chances to explore the system of crisscrossed brown canals and rivulets by boats. Enjoy the wealth of the land “God-blessing” with thousands of orchard gardens and specialties. Here you can enjoy the sweetness not only in the tropical fruits but also in the ways behaving of people living in. A little of friendliness and honest will make you feel like “in your house”. Come and discover the life style in river side with floating markets, boat- building workshop and feel the soul of southern people in “Southern Vietnamese folk song” performed by the islanders. Come and join the daily activities of the local people to enjoy the atmosphere of this beautiful natural countryside.
RIDING PROFILEThis trip covers 260 kilometres on well surfaced roads. Vietnam cycling tours The daily distances are not too long and the terrain is gentle so this trip suitable for most people, but it's advisable to have a modicum of fitness to enjoy the riding! Fast cyclists can ride at their own pace, as detailed directions are available from the leader. Our route is designed to take us off the main roads as much as possible. And we explore scenic back roads on the way to all our destinations. An air-conditioned bus will travel behind the group to support us.
Day 01: Ho Chi Minh city – My Tho - Cao Lanh 60 km (_/L/D)8 am: The guide of Vietnam Cycling will pick up at hotel and transfer to bus by My tho, boat trip in Mytho to Thoi Son island and fuits garden, tasting the fruit and enjoy traditional music. Rowingboat on the small canals admiring the coconut trees along the banks. Start to cycle from the habour to VinhTrang Pagoda and lunch at TrungLuong restaurant. Cycle from AnHuu to Cao Lanh. Cao Lanh is a new town carved from the jungles and swamps of the Mekong Delta region. Overnight at hotel in Cao Lanh.
Day 02: Cao Lanh - Chau Doc 70 km ( B/L/D )Am: After the breakfast. Ride to Chaudoc via LapVo, passing the ferry Vam Cong. You will see traditional houses of Vietnameses on the mekong river and biking along the river, meeting children whre the tourist is still a tranger and a curiosity. After the ferry, taking bus to ChauDoc.Chau Doc is a riverine commercial center not far from the Cambodian border in An Giang Province. The city was once known for its dugout canoe races. Chau Doc has quite sizeable Chinese, Cham and Khmer communities. Overnight at hotel in ChauDoc.
Day 03: Chau Doc - Ha Tien 70 km (B/L/D) Afterbreakfast. Cycle to Sam Mountain.There are dozens of pagodas and temples, many of them set in caves, around Sam Mountain such as TayAnPapoda, ThoaiNgocHau temple. Visit LADY CHUA XU: founded in the 1820s, this pagoda stands facing Sam Mountain. Then continue cycling to TriTon via NhaBang. Have pickniqueluch. Transfer by minibus to Hatien. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Ha Tien - Rach Gia - Can Tho (B/L/D) Am: Cycle to the ThachDong and the beach Muinai, closed to the border with Cambodia. Then cycle to KienLuong , stop at fishing village . Pick up by minibus and transfer to RachGia to have luch. RachGia is the capital of KienGiang Province, with a population of 150,000, including significant numbers of ethnic Chinese and Khmer. Fishing and agriculture have made the town reasonably prosperous.ArriveCantho in the afternoon. Check in hotel and free time. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City ( B/L/_) Am: visit PHONG DIEN floating market : the best floating market in the Mekong Delta with many stand-up rowing boats around. The market is reached by boat, with return to Can Tho by car then return to Saigon. Luch at TrungLuong restaurant in Mytho.ArriveHochiminh city. End tour.
